Memberships & billing
Your membership is managed where you purchased it, even if you use PianoLIT on another device. Using the website on an iPhone does not make it an App Store subscription.
Purchased on the website
Manage your plan and payments in the web app.
- Sign in to your PianoLIT account.
- Open Settings → My membership.
- Use Change plan, Billing, or Invoices for what you need.
To cancel, choose Billing → Cancel membership and complete the confirmation.
Your access continues until the end date shown there. Cancel before your web trial ends to avoid the first payment.
My membershipPurchased in the iOS app
Apple manages your App Store subscription.
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name → Subscriptions → PianoLIT.
- Review available plans or tap Cancel Subscription and follow Apple’s prompts.
If there is no Cancel button and an expiration date is shown, Apple indicates it is already canceled.
Apple advises canceling a trial at least 24 hours before it ends. Check the access dates Apple shows.
Manage with AppleNot sure who bills you? Check your receipt or My membership. An Apple receipt means Apple handles billing. Deleting the app or signing out does not cancel a subscription.
Memberships renew automatically unless canceled. Your checkout shows the price, billing interval, and any trial offered. For web billing, check your next date in My membership; for App Store billing, check Apple’s subscription settings. Follow the cancellation steps above before renewal if you do not want to continue.
For web subscriptions, use My membership: plan changes take effect at renewal, and Billing lets you update your card. For App Store subscriptions, use Apple’s subscription settings for available plans and your Apple Account payment settings for payment methods.
Check which Apple Account appears on your purchase receipt. It may differ from your PianoLIT email. If you purchased on the website, manage billing in My membership instead. If you are still unsure, contact us before subscribing again.
First, sign in with the PianoLIT account used for your membership. For an App Store purchase, also check that your device uses the Apple Account on your receipt and look for a restore-purchases option in the app.
See Apple’s restore-purchase guide. If access is still missing, send us your account email and purchase date. Please contact us before buying another subscription.
For a website payment, email PianoLIT support with the date and amount. For an App Store payment, request a refund from Apple; Apple reviews eligibility. A refund request and subscription cancellation are separate steps.
If you think you have both web and Apple subscriptions, tell us so we can help you identify them.
Sign in with the same PianoLIT account to use your existing membership. Features can differ between the two apps. If access does not match, contact us before starting a second subscription. Changing devices does not change who bills you.
Contact us first so we can check your existing membership and help you avoid overlapping charges. A web subscription does not automatically cancel or replace an App Store subscription, or vice versa.
Account & sign-in
Create a PianoLIT account or sign in on the website. In the iOS app, use your PianoLIT email and password. If you normally use Google or Apple on the website, you can set a password in My profile for email sign-in.
Request a password reset using your PianoLIT account email, then check your inbox and spam folder. If you signed up with Google or Apple, try that sign-in option on the website. With Apple’s Hide My Email, your account may use a private relay address. If you are still stuck, contact us rather than creating another account.
Open My profile → Security & linked accounts. Email changes require proof of your current account and confirmation at your new address. Changing your PianoLIT email does not change the Apple Account used for App Store billing.
Use My profile → Email preferences to choose individual lists or unsubscribe from all available lists. You can also use the unsubscribe link in an email. Email preferences are separate from your paid membership.
Open My profile → Delete account and review the details before confirming. An active membership must end first; cancel it with the provider that bills you. Account deletion is permanent. A later signup creates a new account without restoring your saved content or purchase history.
Some billing, purchase, and activity records are retained separately. See our Privacy policy or contact us with a privacy question.
Using PianoLIT
The current Free Pick gives signed-in web users full access to its performance, Synthesia video, audio, and score, with saved annotations. Guests get previews. Downloading or printing still requires membership. When the Free Pick changes, regular access rules apply again; your saved annotations remain for when you regain access.
In the web app, sign in and select a piece’s heart to open Save to folder. Choose a folder there to save or remove the piece. A filled heart means it is saved in at least one of your folders. Folder and piece limits depend on your account’s access.
Open a piece’s Score tab. When you have access, you can add markings to supported scores while signed in. Markings belong to your account and that specific score. Score downloads contain the original PDF without your annotations; download and print availability depends on your access.
If you see a sign-in or Premium message, follow that prompt first. Otherwise:
- Check your connection and reload the page or reopen the app.
- Check device volume and the player’s mute setting.
- Try an updated browser or the latest available iOS app version.
If the issue continues, send us the page or piece name, your device details, and any error message. For metronome voice recordings, allow microphone access when prompted.
Yes. Use the feedback button in the web app, or email us. Include a link to the piece, article, or tool and describe the correction or idea.
Shop purchases
Visit our eBook catalog and eScore catalog directly. The shop homepage is being prepared, but these catalogs and their checkout pages are available.
No. eBooks and eScores are separate products, with their own prices and details on each product page. Buying one does not start a PianoLIT membership. Check the product page for exactly what is included.
Check your confirmation email, including your spam folder. If a download is missing or does not work, contact us with the checkout email, product name, and purchase date. Include an order reference if you have one; please do not repurchase the item just to retry a download.
